Steve Goozée was born at an army post in Ft. Lee, Virginia, on November 24, 1959. He was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 1987 and is admitted to all state courts in Alabama. He graduated from Stetson University (B.A., Political Science, 1981, Order of Omega), and from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (J.D. 1986).
Mr. Goozée is a very proud father. Steve has three children: Jeff, Zac, and Ali. Jeff and Zac are graduates of two of the top law schools in the country – Emory and the University of Virginia respectively. Zac is an associate at the Maynard Firm in Birmingham. His daughter, Ali, has attended special needs programs at both Samford University and Clemson University. Before settling in Birmingham in 1983, Steve was fortunate to have lived in many parts of the country as the youngest sibling in a family of six children.
